Finally, after a couple of weeks hosting AFC teams and climbing to the top of the NFC North, the Detroit Lions are back on Fox this week.
The Lions travel to New Orleans for what could be a high-scoring shootout at 1:00pm. Chris Myers and Ronde Barber will be your broadcasters for the game. Fox also has the doubleheader this week and the 4:25pm game is the New York Giants taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Chicago Bears (2-9) host the San Francisco 49ers (1-10) at 1:00pm as well, so mercifully, only Chicago and the Bay Area get to see that. The Green Bay Packers are hosting the Houston Texans, so they get to be on CBS this week at 1:00pm. All the fun maps are at 506sports.com.
As I mentioned a week ago, NFL “flex-scheduling” is likely to start in coming weeks and it looks like next week’s Lions and Bears game will be on CBS instead of Fox. It looks like Fox has moved the Seattle at Green Bay game to the 4:00 national slot, so the NFL had to slide one game from Fox to CBS…and that will be the Lions. More info next week.
