GRPD: Victim taken to hospital after shooting, person of interest in custody

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids police say a person of interest is in custody after a shooting sent one person to the hospital.

Police say they received the call around 10:42 p.m. and were sent to the 1000 block of Underwood Ave SE on a report of 9 shots fired. GRPD confirms that one person was taken to the hospital for a minor injuries after being shot in the leg.
