MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — A teenager accidentally shot himself in the foot Sunday morning.
At 10:33 a.m. Sunday, deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Big Rapids Spectrum Health Hospital for an accidental shooting causing injury. Deputies responded and found that a 14-year-old boy from the Comstock Park area had shot himself in the foot with a .22-caliber pistol while staying in Deerfield Township.
The 14-year-old was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
