2 suspects arrested after reportedly firing gun into an occupied vehicle in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Two people were arrested after police say multiple shots were fired into a vehicle that had several people inside  Saturday evening.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Fountain St and Meachem Avenue in Battle Creek. Officers reportedly heard gun fire and saw 2 vehicles speed away.  The victims later flagged down an officer to report the incident.

The Battle Creek Police Department says officers pulled over one of the suspects and soon arrested a male suspect. They also discovered a handgun inside the vehicle. Officers also arrested a second suspect with no harm.

No injuries were reported.
