NILES TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 49-year-old Niles man has died after catching on fire Tuesday.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Departmentwas called to Birchcrest Estates mobile home park in Niles Township Tuesday evening. They found the man on the ground with smoke coming from his clothing.
He was airlifted to the hospital and died Wednesday morning.
His name has not been released. The incident remains under investigation. No other details were released.
