Police investigate early morning shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Police are looking into a shooting from early Wednesday morning.

Grand Rapids Police say they were called to an area hospital at about 9:00am after a 23-year-old man showed with a gunshot wound.  The victim told police he was on a porch at a home near College Avenue and Griggs Street SE at about 6:45am when he heard gunshots.  He ran from the scene and later discovered that he had been shot.  He was taken to the hospital by another person.

Police have no suspects and were not able to locate the exact scene of the shooting.
