Police ask for help identifying suspect in October assault

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Three people were hurt in an assault on October 30, and the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety has obtained video of the incident. A screen shot of a suspect is being distributed in hopes that someone will come forward with information.

Even though it’s estimated nearly 200 to 300 people were nearby, no one was provided the identity of the suspect.

The assault near Western Michigan University in the area of Knollwood Avenue near Weaver Boulevard took place October 30 and left two people needing stitches.
