BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Three teens have been arrested following a bomb threat made to Lakeview Middle School Tuesday.
The district closed all the schools after they learned of the threat. No devices were found at the school.
Battle Creek Police say that the teens are being held in the Calhoun County Juvenile Facility on charges of making a terrorist threat. The teens are 13 and 14 years old.
Police say that a parent called them after finding a note on their porch saying that their child intended to blow up the school. The note also named specific people that would be killed, according to police.
Investigators say that the parent’s child did not make the threat, but identified three others who then did admit to them that they made the threat and tried to implicate the classmate.
