BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – A Battle Creek woman was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly slapping her husband during an election-fueled domestic dispute.
Battle Creek Police tell FOX 17 they were called to the home on Acacia at about 7:15 Wednesday morning by a 26-year-old man. Police found him with a red mark on his left cheek, below his eye. He told police that his wife, a 34-year-old woman, had slapped him after being angry at the outcome of the presidential election.
It is not known who the man or his wife were supporting in the election.
Police say that the man did not want to press charges, but police were required to arrest the woman because there was evidence of an assault. She has not yet been arraigned.
