NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich. — The man who was shot and killed Nov. 2 in Lilley Township has been identified by officials as 55-year-old Timothy Shoemaker of Kentwood.
Shoemaker was found dead at about 11 p.m. Nov. 2 on W. Cleveland Drive.
Jason Douglas Verhulst, 41, of Wyoming, was charged Nov. 3 with first-degree murder and felony firearms in connection with the shooting.
He is currently being held in the Newaygo County Jail without bond.
