GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman was critically injured after being ejected from her SUV in a crash Monday near Grand Haven.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of 144th Avenue and Wintergreen Street.
Ottawa County deputies say Peggy Brandon, 55, was driving through the mobile home park at a “higher speed than was appropriate.” Authorities say witnesses at the scene report that Brandon ran a stop sign and collided with a car.
Brandon wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of her Chevy Trailblazer. She suffered several injuries, the most serious being a head wound. She was flown to a hospital in Grand Rapids by Aero Med and was last reported to be in critical condition.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
