MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police say a 29-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver early Saturday morning.

It happened after 1 a.m. when Kevin Clay Fletcher of Macomb Township was hit while riding a bicycle in the crosswalk crossing the intersection at Romeo Plan and Hall Road.

Witnesses tell police the suspect drove away in a silver sedan, possibly a Chrysler. Police are looking for two possible vehicles of interest — a light colored sedan type vehicle and a light colored, possibly tan Jeep.

They said the Jeep should have at minimum a damaged headlight.

It is not yet clear if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, but witnesses tell police the driver had the right-of-way.

Anyone with information asked to call the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office at (586) 307-9412.
