CALEDONIA, Mich. – The victim of a road rage beating in September has died.

William McFarlan, 64, was injured about 9:00pm on the night of September 29th on Whitneyville Road.   Witnesses told police that as many as three men on dirt bikes had allegedly beaten McFarlan after a road rage incident.  One person, Christian Hillman, 18, has been charged with assault to do great bodily harm, but the Kent County Prosecutor’s office says that they reserved the right to increase the charges if McFarlan died from his injuries.

McFarlan passed away Monday morning.  According to his obituary, McFarlan was a veteran and an avid hunter and fisherman.  A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday at Whitneyville Bible Church.
