BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a semi truck in Calhoun County Sunday evening.
It happened around 7:00 p.m. on I-94 near Capital Avenue in Battle Creek.
Michigan State Police say that Jared Carr, 25, was out of his vehicle and in the road when he was hit by the semi. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them at the Marshall Post at 269-558-0500.
The roadway was closed while investigators were on scene, but it has since reopened.
