DETROIT — A Detroit police officer was killed Friday night after being hit by a driver who did not stop.
The officer, an 18-year veteran with the department, was responding to a hit-and-run crash Friday night, when he was hit by a truck.
Police say the suspect, Patrick Guzina, fled the scene but has since been arrested and charged.
The officer has been identified as Myron Jarrett, FOX 2 in Detroit reports.
