SOLON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- One person was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash in Solon Township.
The Kent County Sheriff's Department says the crash happened at about 4:14 p.m. at Pine Island Drive and Lime Lake Drive.
Deputies say that Carol Tubergen of Kent City was heading north on Pine Island when she went to pass another vehicle. She struck a southbound vehicle driven by Sandra Williamson of Howard City head on. Williamson died at the scene. Tubergen was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
