GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Police investigated a suspicious situation around a downtown bank Wednesday afternoon.
Police were seen surrounding the Huntington Bank branch at Pearl Street and Ottawa NW at about 2:00pm.
Police tell us that they called in a bomb squad to check out a suspicious briefcase at the scene. A few minutes later they were able to determine that the briefcase contained books.
The scene has been cleared.
