Man, woman shot at private club in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — No arrests have been made after two people were shot at a private club in the city early Saturday.

Grand Rapids police originally said a man was found shot in the leg near the area of Fulton and Lane. A second person — a woman — was found shot in the arm near Walker and White.

Police later told FOX 17 both individuals were shot at a private club in the 900 block of West Fulton Street, near West Fulton and Gunnison Avenue SW, at 5:16 a.m. They said one of the victims was shot inside and the other was shot outside the club by a suspect who fired several rounds from outside the building.

Police said both the 32-year-old man’s and 36-year-old woman’s wounds were not life threatening.

A witness said the two victims were caught in a crossfire, according to police.

No suspects have been taken into custody for the shootings. Police said no suspect information is available.

Police said there also were reports that a third person had been shot, but they were unable to find that person.
