Police investigate assault report in Wyoming

WYOMING, Mich. – Police are investigating a reported assault on the southwest side of Wyoming from Friday.

Investigators say a woman reported that she had gone outside her home about 5:30am Friday to warm up her car in the driveway when she was assaulted by a man.  She told police she was able to escape and run back into her home.  Family members called police.  The woman suffered minor injuries.

The City of Wyoming says in a Facebook comment that the incident happened in neighborhood south of 36th Street between Byron Center and Burlingame Ave.

The woman described the suspect to police as being 5’11” tall, about 200lbs, and was wearing all black clothing, a dark ski mask and gloves.  No other details were provided.
