It's a West Michigan event that's sure to make everyone laugh, the Grand Rapids Improv Festival is back with more comedy, workshops, and performances.
GRIF is one of the state's largest festivals for improvisational comedy, and will feature workshops and performances from 38 troupes from 10 different cities across the country.
Unlike sketch or stand up comedy, improv is a performance that is made up on the spot based on suggestions from the audience.
GRIF will be taking place in various venues in downtown Grand Rapids from October 17-24, with most events happening at Dog Story Theater.
Some highlights from this year's festival include the Downtown Improv Hop and the Improv Training Wheels Youth Program.
