Experience the magical world of Harry Potter in downtown Sparta at the Harry Potter Park Festival on Saturday.

Whether you're a fan of the book series, movies, or have never heard of the series before, the festival has multiple activities, games, and shows that are fun for the whole family.

All day long, visitors can watch the Grindymelee Quidditch Tournament, where college and community teams from all over the state will be competing to win it all. Grand Valley State, Central Michigan, Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, and a few other universities and community teams will be competing to come out on top.

There will be a wizard's style tailgate festival around the quidditch pitch, including a performance from the Bangarang Circus, GR Exotic pets showing off snakes and other creatures, owls from the Leslie Science and Nature Center, games, activities, crafts, costume competitions, house sorting, house point competitions, food, and more.

The tournament and other Harry Potter themed activities kick off at 9 a.m. at Balyeat field. The festival activities will begin at 10 a.m.

Tickets cost $20, or you can purchase a family four-pack of tickets for $50 which includes two adults and two kids. Kids ages five and under can get into the tournament for free.
