KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Western Michigan University broke the Guinness World Record for the most marriage vow renewals at the same place on Saturday.
The university says there were a total of 1,201 vow renewals breaking the previous record which was 1,087.
A judge from the Guinness Book of World Records was on hand to present the certificate.
The event happened during Western Michigan University's 93rd homecoming.
The Mayor of Kalamazoo, Bobby Hopewell, officiated the ceremony.
