CALEDONIA TWP., Mich. — An Ada teen has been charged in an assault that left a man seriously injured.

The Kent County Prosecutor says they authorized an arrest warrant for Christian Hillman, 18, of Ada, for assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder.

Hillman has been taken into custody and is awaiting arraignment.

The victim, William McFarlan, 64, of Caledonia, is still in the hospital.

The incident happened Sept. 29 at about 9:00 p.m. on Whitneyville Avenue.  Witnesses told deputies that as many as three men on dirt bikes had beaten McFarlan after a road rage incident.

Online jail records indicate Hillman bonded out of jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
