MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon County Prosecutor has charged a 16-year-old boy in connection with a deadly shooting back in September.

16-year-old Galvester Robinson has been charged with ‘Open Murder’ connected to the September 21st shooting that left 23-year-old Gary Thompson dead.

The Prosecutor’s Office says the shooting happened as Thompson was driving on Peck Street, very close to the border between the City of Muskegon and Muskegon Heights.  They say that Thompson’s vehicle was shot at from somebody in another vehicle driving nearby.

While Robinson is being charged with the killing of Gary Thompson, the Prosecutor’s Office tells FOX 17 they don’t believe he was the person that pulled the trigger.  The shooter has not yet been identified.
