BATTLE CREEK, Mich.- A 34-year-old man from Battle Creek is in stable condition after Battle Creek City police say he was shot multiple times in the lower portion of his body.
It happened in the first block of West Rittenhouse Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. Friday.
Police say the victim was with his two friends when he was approached by a subject that fired multiple shots at him and parked cars nearby.
The suspect, believed to be male, then fled the area on foot. Officers searched the immediate area with a K9 but no luck.
The victim, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
