COSTA DEL ESTE, Panama – Bystanders watched in horror Friday as a multistory building under construction in Costa Del Este, Panama, came crashing down.
The collapse carved out a massive, gaping section of the structure, sending workers running.
“Oh my God, heavenly Father!” the man filming says as the wreckage slides into the water below.
No one has been reported missing or injured after the collapse, according to SINAPROC, Panama’s National System of Civil Protection.
The building under construction is the Matisse, according to Telemetro, a planned luxury apartment skyscraper that was slated to open in 2017.
The area has recently been dealing with extensive flooding from heavy rain, but the cause of the collapse was not immediately clear.
