Two suspects in custody for Grand Rapids murder

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Grand Rapids Police say two suspects are in custody after a fatal shooting Monday night.

Investigators have also identified the victim as Joseph Banks, 38, of Grand Rapids.  Police say that he was shot and killed after an argument with the suspects. A 15-year-old Grand Rapids resident was also shot and remains in the hospital in serious condition.

The shooting happened in the 1400 block of Eastern Avenue about 9:30pm Monday night.

The Kent County Prosecutor is reviewing potential charges against the suspects.  Their identity will be released after they are arraigned.
