GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot in the back early Monday morning in Grand Rapids.
It happened at around 1:35 a.m. in the area of Eastern and Bates SE. Police say that the man appears to have been confronted by four people after leaving Fannie’s Party Store. They say the man was first hit by some object before being shot.
No description of the suspects was available, except that they were all wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. Police used a K-9 unit, but a track of the suspects was not successful.
