KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A man found severely injured about two weeks ago on a Kalamazoo street has died.
George Carlisle, 58, was found unconscious in the 800 block of Michigan Avenue about 11:00pm on September 7.
Investigators say that they have identified a suspect in the incident and he has been arrested on an unrelated charged. They say they are pursuing a charge of Involuntary Manslaughter from the prosecutor’s office.
The cause of death has not been determined, but investigators say that “complications from blunt force trauma” was a contributing factor. A complete autopsy is expected in several weeks.
