KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Police are investigating two possible drunk driving crashes that happened in Kalamazoo Sunday morning.

The first happened just before 8:00 a.m. in the area of Duke and Dunaway. Officers found a truck that drove into a storage shed with the driver still inside the vehicle, according to a press release from Kalamazoo Public Safety. Officers said the driver was stuck inside because the truck was stuck on top of snow removal equipment.

The driver was uninjured in the crash and faces drunk driving charges.

The second crash happened just after 8:30 a.m. at the entrance of the Dover Hills Apartment complex in Kalamazoo. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after police say the male driver was speeding, attempted to turn into the complex and flipped the vehicle over. Police said the impact of the crash sent an 800 pound boulder into the roadway.

Authorities discovered an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The driver also faces drunk driving charges.

Anyone with information about either of these crashes are asked to call the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at (269) 337-8994 or Silent Observer at (269) 343-2100

Police advise drivers to not drink and drive.
