GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – New video of a late night police chase in Grand Rapids from August 17th. That chase lead to a crash on US-131.
The officers involved with that chase say the suspect, 35 year old Jason Turnbull, was extremely intoxicated that night. FOX 17 has learned the situation started when Turnbull was arguing with his ex girlfriend and threw a beer bottle at her mouth. According to police reports, the suspect backed his car into a house off 8th street near Turner.
The chase began when officers found Turnbull’s vehicle at a speedway gas station off Leonard. The chase continued south on 131, until Turnbull lost control of his car, hitting another car and sending him into a guardrail.
Turnbull is in the county jail facing multiple charges including assault and fleeing from police.
