GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two Kmart stores in West Michigan will be closing their doors this coming December.
FOX 17 confirmed with Director of Corporate Communications of Sears Holdings, Howard Riefs, that the Kmart stores at the former North Kent Mall on Plainfield NE in Grand Rapids and 68th Street and Clyde Park in Byron Center will soon be closing.
The stores are still open and the liquidation sales begin at both stores starting September 22. The company plans to close the stores in mid-December. As of right now, Riefs encourages customers to shop using the Kmart website and app, as well as visiting other store locations.
