KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Two fifth grade classes at Discovery Elementary in Kentwood are trying to raise enough money to obtain an indoor 'tower garden' -- which is a vertical aeroponics system that grows produce.

The tower gardens are capable of producing a massive amount of fruits, vegetables, and herbs in a short amount of space.  Teachers in Discovery Elementary's P.E.A.K.S. (Parents, Educators, And Kids = Success) program say the kids are thrilled at the possibility of getting one of them.

The classes are now raising the money themselves, through donations and via GoFundMe. More than 50 students would benefit from the experience. Click here if you would like to contribute.
