For Week #1 of the NFL season, all four NFC North teams played on Sunday, all on Fox, and three of four played at 1:00pm. This week – nothing.
Our undefeated Detroit Lions host an AFC team Sunday, so that means the game will air on CBS at 1:00pm. Remember, Sunday games are divided between Fox and CBS based on the visiting team’s conference, not the home team. With the Lions hosting the Tennessee Titans, that puts the game over on CBS.
CBS also has the doubleheader this week, so our market will get to see the Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos after the Lions game.
Here on Fox, you can watch Holland’s Kirk Cousins lead the Washington Redskins against the Dallas Cowboys at 1:00pm. If you go to the east side of the state, you won’t see an early game on Fox, but you would see the Seattle Seahawks take on the Los Angeles Rams at 4:00pm.
So, where are our NFC North rivals this week? National TV. The Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings play Sunday night on NBC and da Chicago Bears take on the Philadelphia Eagles on ESPN Monday night.
I’d like to give a shout out to 506sports.com which publishes these cool maps each week. Check them out for a lot of other sports programming information. Between them and the FOX 17 Programming Department, I’m able to get the info I need each week to put this together.
