KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Public safety officers say they responded to a house fire around 5:15p.m. Friday in the 900 block of East Stockbridge Avenue. They say the fire quickly spread from a bedroom on the main floor to the building’s third floor.
Crews had to exit the building and fight the fire from the outside due to safety concerns, according to a release from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
It took firefighters about four hours to extinguish the blaze that left the apartment home badly damaged.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
