GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — A national alliance of state arts agencies gathers in western Michigan next week to share connections among the arts, culture, education and community development.
The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies holds its annual conference from Sept. 15-17 in Grand Rapids. It will include arts leaders from across the country as well as experts in cultural research and other areas.
Sessions will be held at various locations, including the Amway Grand Plaza and Kendall College of Art and Design. Attendees also will tour exhibits in place for ArtPrize, the annual art competition holding its preview week at the same time.
The conference is being hosted by the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs.
