Join John Ball Zoo as they celebrate the monarch butterflies before they take flight this fall at Monarch Day.
On September 10, John Ball Zoo will celebrate the monarchs before they take flight for migration to Mexico for the winter. They will release a group of tagged monarchs at the top of every hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On the day of the release, you can enter your name for a chance to release a monarch. Entries are collected 15 minutes before each release.
You can also purchase a Monarch online, so you're guaranteed a chance to release a butterfly.
