Put your writing skills to the test for the chance to get your story published and to win cash prizes for the Write Michigan Short Story Contest
This is the 5th year that Write Michigan Short Story Contest is taking place. Last year the contest nearly brought about 500 Michigan writers to the competition.
Writers of all ages can enter, and there are separate competing categories for youth, teens, and adults. They're also adding a category this year for Spanish entries.
There is a 3,000 word maximum length and is limited to Michigan residents. The entry fee is $10 for writers 18 and older, and free for kids ages 17 and under.
The top honor in each category will get a $250 cash prize and will be published by Chapbook Press.
Stories can be submitted online now through November 30. Click here to submit your story.
