HOLLAND, Mich. -- Former Detroit Lions kicker Jason Hanson was at Hope College's football practice on Tuesday. The former All-Pro kicker, who holds nine NFL records, gave special instruction to Hope's kickers.
Tony Semple, a former teammate of Hanson's is an assistant coach at Hope, while Hanson's son Ryan is a junior on Hope's soccer team.
Hanson spent his entire 21-season career with the Lions.
