GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– Spectrum Health celebrated a new extension onto their Rehab and Nursing Center on Thursday.
The facility, built in 1964, now has a two-story addition with 122,600 square feet of new space to serve 165 more patients. The Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing Center typically serves 700 patients each year.
The new addition will include:
-Neuro rehabilitation with a new neuro suite that features a low-stimulation gym and separate dining area for patients that need a low-stimulation environment.
– General rehabilitation
– Short and long-term nursing care
– An activities of dialing living apartment
-Long-term care for aging adults
-Art and music therapy
The facility is located on 4118 Kalamazoo Ave in Grand Rapids. Patients are expected to start moving into the new facility on August 16.
