GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– Beer City, USA just keeps getting bigger. Get ready for City Built Brewing Company to open this fall.

City Built Brewery

City Built Brewing Company installed 10-barrel tanks Wednesday morning at their location on 820 Monroe Ave. NE on the first floor of the 616 Lofts in Grand Rapids.  They hope to brew 31,000 gallons of craft beer a year.

Along with the brand new installation was the announcement that they will start serving Old World-inspired beer beginning in October 2016. The brewery features will include fruit-infused ancient ales such as “Flower Power Chamomile Green Tea IPA.” The food menu will feature Puerto Rican and island-inspired dishes, like smoked pork and rice balls.

City Built will be the first Grand Rapids brewery in the Monroe North neighborhood since 2007. The last brewery there was Founders Brewing Company when they were in the Brass Works Building.
