KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A man found unconscious and bleeding on a Kalamazoo street over the weekend has died.
Gerardo Santiago Martinez, 48, died from his injuries Monday night. He had been found Sunday morning in the 1200 block of E. Alcott Street.

Police were not able to identify Martinez right away, but relied on tips from the public from the Donaldo boots that he was wearing.
An autopsy is scheduled for today for Martinez. The investigation into Martinez’s death is still in progress.
