GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A woman with two outstanding warrants tried to escape the Kent County Courthouse Thursday afternoon.
Kent County Court Security staff were told that Jessica Cato, 27, was attending a class at the courthouse and that they would need to take her into custody. When being taken into custody, she eluded officers and barricaded herself in a secondnd floor women’s bathroom.
A short time later, she was found in the ceiling above a public area of the courthouse.
Cato was taken into custody on a probation violation and contempt of court. Investigators are determining if she’ll be facing further charges.
