MONTCALM TWP., Mich. – A Greenville man suffered serious internal injuries after crashing his ATV Sunday morning.
Montcalm deputies responded to the crash at about 7:30am Sunday on Evergreen Road, west of Johnson Road. They say that the 23-year-old man was driving his 2004 Honda four-wheeler west on Evergreen Road when he lost control on some curves. He went off the road and hit a log, causing his ATV to flip over. He was taken to United Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Spectrum Health for treatment.
Deputies say that Evergreen Road at that location is not paved and narrow. It was raining at the time of the crash. The man was wearing a helmet, but deputies say speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash. They are still investigating.
