1. Hillary Clinton could announce her running mate as early as Friday.

Once she makes her decision, she and her running mate will appear together either in Tampa on Friday, or in Miami on Saturday.

Right now, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack are the leading contenders.

Clinton is reportedly spending the next day or so at home to finalize her decision.

2. A Viking ship is back on the waters this morning, for a great lakes tour.

The Norwegian ship, named “The Draken,” sailed away from its temporary home in Bay City, Michigan Wednesday morning.

The ship is now headed to Chicago.

The Draken was in Bay City to take part in the tall ship celebration, and to raise money for the tour.

The Sons of Norway, a cultural group in Minneapolis, is raising money for the vessel.

3. Here's a rare chance to own a bit of land up north.

Sections of the northern Michigan Island, Bois Blanc, are up for sale. The parcels range from under an acre up to around 22 acres.

The auction will be August 11 at the casino in Sault Sainte Marie.

Bidders can pre-register or obtainadditional information, including minimum bids, maps, property descriptions, and conditions of sale.

4. It looks like Grand Rapids has unofficially broken the record for largest swing dance.

The Grand Rapids Original Swing Society says nearly 1,300 people came out to help re-claim the title. Grand Rapids lost the title last year, after holding it for three years.

The group says they had enough dancers, now they just need to have it approved by Guinness World Records to make it official.

5. A new thrill ride of sorts is up and running at Niagara Falls. It's a zip line!

In fact, there are four of them that take you up 200 feet over the gorge on a 2,200 foot ride.

Not only that, but you'll be going at speeds of about 37 miles per hour!

Riders must be at least seven years old and weigh between 65 and 300 pounds.

If you're looking for even more thrills, the whirlpool adventure course will open at the end of the summer.

It features dozens of cliffside climbing, jumping and swinging games.
