GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- Grand Rapids FC is getting ready for the teams first ever playoff match on Friday against Indy Eleven in the NPSL Midwest Regional semifinals. On Monday, the teams first championship trophy arrived at GRFC offices.
The Boys in Blue captured the Great Lakes West Conference Championship in their first year as part of the National Premier Soccer League. As part of winning the conference crown, GRFC earned the top seed and the right to host the NPSL Midwest Playoffs at Houseman Field.
GRFC will face Indy Eleven on Friday at 7:30. The winner will face the winner of AFC Cleveland and AFC Ann Arbor in the finals on Saturday.
