Police searching for missing elderly man with dementia issues

BANGOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police in Van Buren County are trying to located a missing man from Bangor Township, and family members fear for his safety.

John Yore, 73, was last seen leaving a residence on 44th Avenue in Bangor Township on July 11.  He was said to be making a drive down to Indianapolis, but nobody has heard from him in two days.  Family members say he may not have his medication, and suffers from early dementia problems.

Yore was last seen driving a black 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche with a handicap license plate of 0757J7.  He is approximately 6′ tall and 300 lbs. Yore has gray hair and one false eye. He was wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt, along with a baseball cap with the words ‘Yore Place’ on it.
