1. Amazon shoppers, you may be tempted to go on a buying spree on Tuesday.

Amazon is planning to offer more than 100,000 special deals on its second annual Prime Day.

The company is calling it "the biggest global Amazon event ever."

New deals will be rolling out throughout the day, sometimes as often as every five minutes. The catch is those deals are only be available to Amazon Prime members.

However, anyone can sign up for a free 30-day trial membership and shop on Tuesday.

Amazon also says it worked with its vendors to increase supply this year after shoppers complained last year that many items sold out too quickly.

2. Democratic leaders are calling for a nationwide hike in minimum wage.

They're calling for an increase to $15 an hour, over time.

The announcement came at the Democratic National Committee's platform meeting in Orlando this week.

The change isn't entirely surprising, since democrats have been calling for a raise for a while, but this is the first time it's been official and tied directly to the federal minimum wage.

3. It looks like some lucky person finally bought the winning Mega Millions lottery ticket.

The prize had grown to $540 million, with a cash payout of $380 million.  The drawing was on Friday, and the winning ticket matched all six numbers.

It was sold in Indiana, but the state's lottery says so far, no one has come forward to claim the prize.

If the winner doesn't go with the lump sum payout, they can get the money with 30 annual payment installments.

4. Fifth Third Ballpark played host to pooches of all shapes and sizes who got scrubbed down and groomed during the World's Largest Dog Wash event on Sunday.

There were also several contests going on, including a dog/owner lookalike competition, as well as one for longest ears.

The money from the event is going to Gilda’s Club, and its youth program.

Organizers tell us that each year they bring in about $5,000 for the cause.

This was the 14th year for the dog wash.

5. It's 7-Eleven Day, which means 7-Eleven Convenience Stores are giving away free Slurpees today!

That's not all, Slurpee is also celebrating its 50th birthday this year!

From 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., you can get a small Slurpee for free, and there's a new flavor you can try to celebrate the occasion: birthday cake.

In addition, 7-Eleven is celebrating Slurpee week until July 18. If you buy 7 Slurpee drinks during that time, you will get 11 free Slurpees. Patrons must download the free 7-Eleven app and have it scanned with each purchase to claim the deal.

According to 7-Eleven's website, there are two locations left in West Michigan, Homestead Drive in Zeeland and Mt. Olivet Road in Kalamazoo.
