MUSKEGON, Mich. –- A Muskegon Township man has pleaded guilty in a fatal 2015 hit and run that killed a bicyclist.
Ronnie Jo Claflin pleaded guilty Friday to failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, according to the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office.
Claflin was charged with hitting and killing bicyclist Susan Cummings with his vehicle on Fruitvale Road in August 2015.
The prosecutor’s office says Claflin met with Cummings’ family prior to pleading guilty. He faces up to 15 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 16.
