LANSING, Mich. — Military units from Michigan and all over the world will be in Northern Michigan in August for the latest installment of Exercise Northern Strike.
Exercise Northern Strike is a military training exercise that combines air and ground combat drills into one training exercise event that will occur on August 1-20.
Approximately 5,000 soldiers, airmen and marines will be taking park and operating from bases out of Camp Grayling and the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center.
Twenty states and three other countries including Poland, Canada and Latvia will be participating in hopes to continue their proficiency in mission command, air, sea and ground maneuvers.
